It seems like I saw cans of the stuff at Home Depot a while back.

Plasti-dip sounds like a plan. That powder coat is tough stuff. I've drooled
on mine a few times and it wipes right off! LOL toolman
 
just read an artice last night,,,on break at work,,guy used that plasti dip to make a wind shield gasket for a 62 lancer look new again,,,wonder how that worked out installing the glass,,,

Do it! you'll be happy with the results. I got some pics somewhere. I'll put them up when I find them.
