Has anyone used one of their cams? It's a hydraulic flat tappet for small block apps...The video of the guy's 340 sounds damn good with the 340/360 cam....Post says 8.5 comp 340 not to much more other than that...If you never seen it check they website Hughes Engines.....Again I was wonderin has anyone else heard/used/or kno of someone that used one....I was thinkin of usin one in my 318....

I've got mine ordered, will build my 318 with 9, 9.5 compression and RHS Indy 360X heads with the 1.92/1.5 valves, winter project. Everyone I know who runs a mopar says "if Hughes recommended that cam, don't question it", by the way, a the right converter does wonders for a cam, I was told a 2500 stall 8.5 or 9" Dynamic converter for the 904 torque flight make great street/strip combos

I'm using a Hughes cam in my 318/390 stroker.....but my comp ratio will be about 10:1 though.....Edelbrock RPM heads ( 2.02 & 1.6 )....1.6:1 rockers.....haven't built it yet, but have the parts.

I'm glad someone has heard of this cam..I was begining to think I was speakin a foreign language!!!! I have a 318 built. I ain sure of comp ratio but I KNOW it's not over 9.5. Currently it 360 heads they've been worked not sure about number but they from a 1975 360...What got me interested cause they say it work great wit low comp and pretty much jus stab it in an you done. How well you think the cam will do wit that combo? If my budget can afford it I plan to get those RHS heads from Hughes. Plus that video of that 340 Cuda sold me on sound and performance!!!!

This is actually the cam I am thinging of for my BB 451 stroker. However, I talked to Dave at Hughes and we both decided to go with a solid blueprinted to the 440 Whiplash hyd specs with the exception of the lift. The valve lash of being a solid will remove some lift and it really needs a bit more for the extra cubes. Should be interestin.
