Hurst slap shifters

Anyone use a slap shift that has passenger side view or any idea where this spring goes? Hopefully it this doesnt get moved I am stranded right now with busted shifter

It has to have tension on it. Bend it up and over the pin?

I've come up with this but no idea where litte spring goes. Not enough room for both and if I put only little one on it wont let me go into park
