hydraulic clutch

[my68barracuda]

I plan to change from a 903 to a a833 in this 68 Barracuda. Likely a year away, currently in the planning and finding parts stages.

anyone using or plan to use a hydraulic slave cylinder in place of the Z bar and linkage to operate the clutch,, just looks to be a much simpler install?
and
is the transmission cross member common between the auto and manual transmission? or do I need to be looking for one of those?

I believe the cross member is the same. The good thing is you don't have to go looking for another driveshaft. But, you will probably have to get the 727/833 slip yoke (unless your 833 is one of the lesser seen 26 spline output shaft versions).

yes the crossmember is the same and I have been running a hydralic clutch master/ slave for the last 15 years or so and your right it is a better setup plus the linkage doesn't bind when racing
