I love Mopars.
I own 2, a 67 Coronet R/T ( I know its a B body) and 67 convert barracuda.

What is a Wedge?, What is a stroker?

Thanks for helping me in my ignorance and stupidity.

I don't know what either is defined as either, but I wouldn't call it ignorance or stupidity. I'd just call it not knowing. Just because nobody has ever told you what it means, or because you haven't read it anywhere, doesn't mean you're ignorant or stupid. You aren't expected to know everything :read2:

Basic explanations:

Wedge refers to the shape of the combustion chamber - it's wedge-shaped. Look at the bottom of a head that's off the engine. The recessed area that house the valves is the combustion chamber. You'll see it is shallow on one side and gets deeper as you go to the other side. It's a wedge shape.

A stroker is an engine where the stroke of the piston has been lengthened with a crank swap. the crank has more throw than the stock crank and increases cubes and leverage.

BTW - I love my A bodies (I've got 2 and 1 parts car), but I'll always be a B-body guy at heart. As long as it's Mopar is all that matters.
