QUINN FORBES
Greendemon
Jet?
Probably Av Gas. A Mopar Bro from way back had a 71 Challenger, 383 , Dual Tunnel Ram and quads, 13.5 to 1, he blended the green Av gas w/ 93....what fuel would that even take LOL
You can spend a bunch of dumb money on a hemi. I've built a few. To get big power out of a small-block that'll live for awhile....it racks up very fast. I'm doing a Ritter-block SB, right now. The only Chrysler piece, will be the timing cover.LOL, when you start playing with Hemi's, those sort of engine costs are just a walk in the park..
Vp q16 works well. We run 16.5-1 on q16 and have no issueswhat fuel would that even take LOL

It’s close to 25 a gallon. We were using x16 and it was I think around 15 or 16 but that was 3 years ago. We picked up almost 20hp going to the qTell the guys how much that is a gallon.
Piston change only is stupid. What you’re really looking at are the F.A.S.T. guys. Looks stock….. & that’s where it ends. For what they are, they’re pricey engines.I like pure stock drag racing. I think that there should be more like it, make power with what's available from the factory. I think that the only aftermarket parts allowed are the pistons.
Oh I totally get it. And this is in a pulling truck. We drag it around with a side by side to save on fuel and wear and tear in the engineThis is why I’m a lowly bracket racer. Even after a price jump up to 210.00 for 54 gallon of alcohol I can still afford to go half-fast and still have fun.

A couple of them that we go to are to help out the future farmers of America kids I’m school and they normally get a check for 50,000 after all expenses are paid. Of Pennsylvania wasn’t so far for us I’m sure we would load up and come pull with themHere’s my local fire department about 1/2 mile from my house. They hold several truck n tractor pulls each year and have a benefit for local kids in need.

I’ve seen videos of that truck. It runs really wellA good friend of mine attended a pull at my firehall last year and was really amazed at their setup. He runs a local driveline service and said he will be returning.

If they are pricey engines, then why do most of them run in the 13's? I've read the rules carefully and no aftermarket parts are allowed. The class I'm talking about is cars that are very limited to what can be done to them. There's a 1973 340 duster that ran high 13's. And they change the pistons to help increase the compression ratio as they are allowed a 1.5 point increase in the compression ratio. I've seen the class you're talking about and it's different from pure stock drag racing cars, these guys even have to run the factory camPiston change only is stupid. They have to run the factory air cleaner housing and exhaust manifolds. Ignition system is limited to a curve kit, no porting of any kind is allowed on the cylinder heads. Rocker arm's have to be factory too. I don't see how they are pricey. They meet once a year in september in Michigan.Piston change only is stupid. What you’re really looking at are the F.A.S.T. guys. Then it’s not the FAST class racingThey have to run the factory air cleaner housing and exhaust manifolds. No sir, it's called pure stock drag racing. It caught my attention when I read what your limited to do to the car. Even the interior has to be as it was from the factory. I think that it's awesome how those guys get their cars to run like they do with all of the limitations. Carb and ignition tuning has to be a art. Then it’s not the FAST class racing
As is interpatation of rules.Working your way around limitations can soak up a fair bit of money.
If you're talking about a pure stock drag racing engine, they really don't cost much more than a stock rebuild. I've checked them out and you can't run a 3 angle valve job from what I understand but I could be wrong hereWorking your way around limitations can soak up a fair bit of money.
Gotta list of the rules somewhere? If you're talking about a pure stock drag racing engine, they really don't cost much more than a stock rebuild. I've checked them out and you can't run a 3 angle valve job from what I understand but I could be wrong here
