I.D ring/pinion

I got this ring and pinion in a parts deal and wanted to verify it is for an a-body 7 1/4 rearend.It measures about 7 inches across and looks to be a factory part. Here are some pictures for iding it.

I am not certain, but I always thought the pinion/yoke attachment on 7.25 was course splined?
