Missed it also. Glad everything is going ok so far.

Best wishes for a quick, speedy and relatively painless recovery Jeff! Hope you're back up to speed in no time. Hit me up if you need anything.

Did they tell you when your therapy will start?

Some of the therapy will start today I believe Ink :bball: bending and
movement and check for any blood clots and ex-rays
I believe he is on blood thinners or could be :dontknow:

Just a bump to the top and NO! I am not a Doctor

I had both of mine done about 10 years ago at the same time. Suggestions. BE SURE you have some sort of bath mat or rough thingys in the bottom of the tub. One slip and you are screwed (I know fron first hand experience.)

Do the PT!

Benji

I have been having two sessions of rehab everyday here at the hospital. I will continue to have outpatient rehab at our local small hospital. I have to to train myself how to walk correctly. 7-8 years of bad walking habits will have to thrown out the window and start over. Thanks for the support guys.

Had mine done three years ago, best thing I ever did. Back curling this year after almost ten years and no pain. Rehab is very important. Do the work you won't regret it.
Good luck with your recovery.

Here are pictures just after I got home.

Hope you have a speedy recovery. I need one also. Only a few thousandths between my bones but with no health insurance I got to wait. Cant climb stairs anymore without a handrail or I have to take a step at a time with both feet on every step. Wondering what cost for this without insurance is.May have to sell everything I own for this so I,m capable of keeping working.

Glad to hear you are home and moving forward Jeff :wav:

I don't know, I think you should have shopped around for a surgeon that draw a straight line. Funny how different yours is than mine - my scar is straight and just a bit under 7" long.
It's surprising how common this surgery is becoming. But I still think it's remarkable how they basically cut your leg in half and glue some new parts in to create a new knee. The prosthetic knee I got was developed a few years ago by my surgeon and his partner and mimics natural knee motion. Rather than just a hinged joint, I can actually swivel a bit on it just like a real knee.
Jokingly I told my kids to make sure they salvage it when I'm gone. Who knows what the value of titanium is going to be? They were not amused.

wow! did that doctor use to stitch baseballs before he became a doctor? LOL ( just kiddin) Good luck, and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Incision was like it was because the doctor had to go around to the back of my knee and do some work on ligaments and tendons to get them to stretch out enough. "Waited to long to have surgery".
