Prayers coming for a timely diagnosis and for it to be an easy fix. Good to rule out the bad stuff first. I know about Crohn's, hope it's not that, again, praying it's something minor.
let s hope its not Crohns. but med has made some headway with that disease.
BD, have they ruled out IBS? Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I know a kid here that has dealt with it since he was a boy. It's common and can show the same, or at least similar signs of the two you listed.
