pistons for a 340 , could they ever be used on a street engine , or should I just toss them . Or make a sculpture out of them . What a set of domes on those suckers , wish there was 110 octane around !

Yo relly think someone could use them these days ? They were crazy when I bought them 25 years ago ! Had them in a mock up then decided they had to much compression . Sure looked good in the block !
Guess I'll take some pics get the part numbers and put them up for sale .

Find someone that building an old school x/j headed engine

If clean and perfect, I'd bet you could get 200-275 for them.

thats what it would take...too bad mines a 360 those would make for a snappy mean running engine.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Old open chambered heads fully ported and a nice big cam with E-85 as a fuel.

Those things weigh a ton.. because the dome is solid. Mill off the domes (or reduce the size of them and they are good flat tops. Milling the domes should be less than $100.
