LOL. Reminds of the time I first fired up my old 340 Swinger after a fresh race engine build. Nobody in the driveway but my buddy and me...10 seconds later full of kids and bikes. I swear they must of fallen out of the sky.
Take the kid under your wing and rescue him from a lifetime of wearing bowties!
 
Gotta love the alure of a mopar plot. Shot this video after getting home from a test & tune at local 1/8 mile track. Ran my best time ever that night & wanted to give my chebby neighbor 2 house's down a little 340 sound that evening. Next Day had 4 young navy tuner guys down the street come buy to marvel at some mopar & one neighbor threaten to call the cops.

More than slight one that evening plot. 80 mile round trip to track & 4 passes equal loose headers on the oldschooler.

it has a slight hesitation at about 1900 rpm. i got the carb rebuilt, but i am thinking of just buying a brand new carb, as this one has been moddified for track use. no choke or nothing. and i need one good for the street
 
Both of those 340's sound good enough to convert even the biggest rust - bucket lover to Mopar !!!

4spd explains firing it up with no driveshaft! I broke in a lopey 351C cam with open headers in my parents condo, I was brought up in the monthly board meeting! My young nephew is being raised by my bleeding liberal of a sister. We were talking about some light politics (to an 8 year old, it was kept real light) and he turns to his older sister and says, "see, Republicans are not all bad..." hahahaha! Yes, take him under your wing and show him the other side of life, just keep his decisions his own and dad will stay off your back...."If you love it so much, why dont you marry it?? naa naa naa" kids....Oops, ..parents.....
