I posted this in the Wanted section...but 2 days later its getting buried. But since this is an early A specific request, I thought I would repost it here. I hope the moderators are OK with it.

Looking ahead to next year's school project car. Maybe some southern or west coasters can help in the search.

Looking for rust free, accident free, 64-65 valiant. Prefer low trim level post car. Slant 6 fine. Manual shift. Any color. Looking to buy in spring, I will need to ship. Transport is iffy over the rockies inwinter. What do u have? Any other early As considered. Thanks. Budget under 2k. good headliner a plus. Nothing is pieces.......

Be kind in pricing if you can. This is for a school, and will be fully mechanically reconstructed over a 1 - 2 yr. period then be resold - most likely listed here. I'm the teacher and pay 100% out of pocket for everything for these projects. I spend lots my own time finding parts and pieces. At the end....I usually wind up losing $1-2K on each car. Yes....a fully mechanically restored car is usually NOT worth the parts put into them. When I say everything is done......everything is done.

Right of first refusal will be yours if you sell me the car. Here are a few of what we started with. Early A's are preferred

remember I got Mine that meets all your requirements and more

1964 273 v8 car , super solid!! accident free and a 2 door post ..

if you find a local rusty car, would be willing to part with four door parts car donor for $300. Includes extra rear end, aluminum manual box, is rolling, and has a very good 64 - 65 hood and trunk lid (valiant). All extra 64 - 76 A parts would go with it. Good transitional panel, cowl, firewall, RR floor pan, and all frame rails. See pics in parts car section.

Thanks for the offer. But the issue is time. I can't burn up a year of time fixing rust. Some here or there....ok. but I've got curriculum to cover!

Just found 2 more 65 barracudas for 2 k.I've been dart, or valiant hunting also..any 1 that can help? KEEP up the good work Jon .

i'm in Canada , Toronto area , have a 1965 valiant signet convertible not much rust , South Carolina car $1500 PM if interested Cheers ..

Look at Phoenix craigs list.Several Valiants and Darts with no rust. What you pay in shipping will make up for not having to deal with a rust bucket.

I would just add in the pictures is my 65 Barracuda formula S the blue one from several years ago. I sold it to Mike and the class and when done was so happy to get it back for what they did with it. I drive it and love it all the time. In fact it was driven when I moved from Washington DC area to Chicago Il northside no issues at all. I drive it all the time in the spring through fall! They do good work and are my friends for life!

Thanks for the kind words fellas. The kids start off pretty miserable working on "old crap" to begin with. BUT...after a while they get hooked and LOVE IT! that's the point.

Whoever sells (yes, I MUST be the owner) me the car to use in the shop; will get right of first refusal to buy the car back when done. The cars are typically repaired with MOPAR parts. The only exception is the interior, which sometimes gets modern bucket seat replacements, just as a cost savings and comfort concession. No high dollar components (no alterkations, 4 links, Hemi's etc...)., just tried and true stuff.
