A friend of mine has a Super Bee that was popping when you were pushing in and letting out his clutch and it turned out to be the snout on the transmission where the throwout bearing rides had not been lubricated so he reached up and smeared a thin film of grease on it from underneath with the inspection cover off the bellhousing and now it's as smooth as silk.

Mine turned out to be the over center spring, which I needed to remove anyway due to diaphragm clutch..
