I want to chrome the front grille!!

At guy at a local chroming shop said that he could chrome the grill in my 70 Dart for 75.00. I don't know jack about chroming. How does chroming hold up on something plastic like the grille???? Does this sound like a fair deal???

Well is it Nickel chroming or is it plasti-chrome? You cannot actually "chrome" plastic. If you dipped plastic into the nickel and other vats you'll ruin them.

I don't really know he said that "he could chrome anything" so I'm asuming that it is "plasti chrome" as you said. Does this hold up well is it the same process say for example that is used on my 94 Tahoe with a plastic grill that has a "chrome" finish???
