Incredible what some elbow grease, patience and $20 in paint can do.
Still think the 273 commando was one of best dressed engines ever to come out of Detroit.

Thought I just had a dressed up 2bbl to look like a commando which is cool but damn she is quite peppy.
Was wondering why someone went extra mile and added factory dual point setup (just changed out to pertronix yesterday) Pulled a plug and sent in my scope and wohoo pistons look like pic. one not pic. two. Looks like someone transplanted a complete commando into her.
Figures as she came from Texas. Very happy

Cool. Whatever you paid, you probably won't lose if you can ever stand to sell it. I think early Barracuda prices will only go up. Just hope it doesn't fall into the hands of relatives who don't appreciate it and abuse it or sell for $200. That is my fear for my 4-wheeled babies.

Actually traded for her. Need to go ahead and start a resto. thread along with my 65 dart..
Can't stop working on her she is so cool and mainly needs detail work which is my specialty.

It's amazing how good a "regular" car can look with some detail work. I like to buy cars like this with ok paint/interior and spend some time and effort cleaning them up. So rewarding!
 
Im partial to the 65 dash myself. The 64 seems one sided. Different radio too, with round buttons..65 had square IIRC. 64 had Valiant script on trunk...had a different bulkhead connector pattern, I think 3 went to 2 in 65? But that car is might fine..your "needing some TLC" is another mans "needs waxing only"
 
More seat cover pictures please - the ones that came on the car. The little bit I saw was pretty fruity!
Nice marine battery and universal coolant hose. trust me when I say I love period correct stuff and not making fun.

Those fruity seat covers are in a dumpster. lol.
Plain black ones on her now until I get around to putting on the legendary covers that came with her.
This ones never going to be completely period correct as long it is owned by me.
