That's a '67-'76 forged-crank RG block (225 or 198 depending on what crank/rods are in it -- not a 170).
Can't tell what year it is without the stamped number on the distributor side of the block deck, near the front. What's it say?

All 10 of my toes are intact and not stepped-on; I don't hold a monopoly on answering questions here! LOL
That near-the-back number is the end of a VIN, and yes, it's from a '72 car. Keep looking for the number stamped near the front, if you're curious to know exactly when this engine was originally built and such, though if the block has been decked more than a little (or was a service replacement block the installing dealer didn't bother to stamp) then it might not be there.
