i bought a supposed 1967 413 engine.i would like to know exactly what these i.d letters mean.they were taken off the flat pad in front of valley pan-intake on driver side ...GT413....thanks for your help

Hello Van man(a-100)- Your first digit is your year code. If it`s a 67 the "G" you see is probably a "C" for 1967.The "T" means truck and 413 is your displacement. Hope this helps, and welcome to FABO.

That also won't be a passenger car engine. The last year of standard 413 production was 1965. The top end, water pump housing, and such are different.

For the heavy truck you are correct but you could get a motorhome in the late 60s and early 70s with a 413 that had the same topend as the regular RB.
I had a 1971 D700 that had a 361 that had the weird topend on it. It had heads that looked like LA heads as far as the exhaust and spark plugs was concerned. I also think it had the SAE round type bellhousing pattern cast in the block.

A-100 would like to thank:longgone's garage,jim lusk's garage and3to's garage!!It is a 1971 413 truck motor..!! case closed !!!!
