Idle stop solenoid

Anyone know of someone who repairs non working idle stop solenoid?

Is it an AC car that kicks the idle up when the AC is on?

Check power at the AC compressor, the stop solenoid is probably wired in tandem with AC compressor.

No power when AC compressor is on, no worky.

Low freon in system = no power to AC compressor = no worky.

Here’s a very informative post on idle solenoids. You’ll see that there is a very fragile copper coiled wire setup inside. I’m not sure repair is possible for one where that coil is faulty or the when the copper wire gets severed. Scott Smith used to do them but not sure if he is any more.

Here is one on e-bay. They test used ones as "Working" then sell them in the refurbished category.
