....and you have personal or "vanity" license plates you must insure your car every year or you will have to surrender the plates to ICBC give them $100.00, they will then give you temporary plates. The vanity plates will then be sent to Vancouver and then about a week or two later you will get a call and you then have to bring the temp plates back and they will give you your personal plates back and off you go. I did not insure the Fish last year so I got caught in this blatant money grab. Paper work has to be done for each transaction and the temp plates go to be recycled. Waste of time, paper, ink,stamps and you walk out of there feeling like you just got reamed. I have had the plates for a long time and do not recall seeing this in the fine print. Beware.
