Ignition control box

Long ago I converted my 340 Duster to electronic ignition.
The box was blue and has 5 posts.
The box started to drip "goo" so I ordered a new Mopar chrome unit. It has just 4 posts.
Is there a difference?

Not really

The older 5 terminal box MUST use the older 4 terminal resistor

The newer 4 terminal box only needs a 2 terminal resistor

If you plug a 4 terminal box into the older setup it works fine..........the 'other half' of the resistor doesn't connect
