Adding a tach to my 70 duster, rallye dash. Did some searches and just want to verify. I can run the power wire to the red arrow in the diagram below, and the wire to the light to the connection at the white arrow below and it will dim with the headlight switch, correct? I read where I could wire it in by the radio but I got the dosh open so can get at the fuse box easy enough.

Also my lighting to the other dash gauges is really dim. I have LED white lights in the sockets, 4 little ones in each socket. The socket seems to turn just a 8th to seat. Is this correct? Are the LED's normally dim?

You are on the right track "sort of." If you hook power to the red arrow, it will NOT be fused, so you need to add an inline fuse, or figure a way to splice into a switched fused circuit fed by one of the fuses there. The radio fuse is OK

Same with the lighting connection. You want the side of the fuse that is all the orange wires and not the tan wire

So just tap off the spade below the arrows? Or I understand I can just add a fuse to the line, but would be hard to get at if it blew probably.
Thanks much

Your arrows are pointing to the incoming / upper side of the fuse box. if you want the tach be fused you'll need to tap the other / lower side or add inline fuses. I would put the tach power supply on the radio fuse with a female spade that has a male piggyback spade.
