I'm running too much width?

I just got the fresh 318 in the Dart.

I'm running 295/50's in the rear, I can burn em' up no problem but I do have to use the brake trick (only when it's dry)

Otherwise I get a ton of grip, I suppose I just need to change my gearing or get the trans up to scruff...

thoughts are welcome, I just wanted to get this out of my head haha.

if you want to occassionally do a burn out throw a windshield washer reservoir and pump in the trunk. run the squirters into the fenderwells and wet the tires down and nail it. when tractions marginal throw some clorox or vht in there and hook hard.

My gears suck, I think I've got 2.71's or 2.91's how can I be sure?

The 318 is producing enough power, just off the line is BS. Stock converter too.

I like the 'tire wetting' idea....
