Last time everyone was very helpfull in getting my 318 together for my 67 barracuda, now i wanna start over. I have a 360 interceptor block an j heads, beefed 727, 318 to rob parts from, a machinist, and an ok budget. I want to build around a 408 steel crank, this is only my second engine build, must i use pistons made for the stroke of the 408? hypers good or must should i go ahead with the forged? Im lookin for around 9:1 compression cuz im plannin low boost in the future. Would stock rods hold up or should i get some scat I beams? Have a mopar purple hydro cam 284/484, and im looking at aluminum rockers (1.5). I assume i'll need stronger springs an different pushrods (from what i read) but how i do pick em out? Should i also have him port the heads? And is boosting a total pipe dream or would this build be okay turboing in the future? Im at your mercy:help:
