IMM dyno - 408 - small cam

-
This engine has been a longgg time in the making.
Started off as just a set of NZ EQ heads just before they stopped making them.
Then some porting and a cam to match. Then pistons...and well, you know how it goes.
Brian worked with me every step of the way to help come up with a combination that fits the bill.

All things considered I actually think it might punch a little above it's weight in terms of having 9:1 compression and 18" of vacuum at idle.
I'm impressed it carries a pretty good RPM especially for a stroker. The dyno stops at 5700RPM but even there it doesn't seem to me like it's rolling over "hard".
The tunnel ram and ported heads helps a lot with the breathing, also .640"/.657" lift using 1.7 rockers.
Final corrected numbers 466HP @ 5700 RPM - 483TQ @ 4400 RPM.

The guys at IMM have done a lot of really top-notch work, I couldn't have asked for a better result.
They've also put a lot of goodies you don't "see" into this to make it live and work optimally under boost.
When the blower eventually makes it's way on there, We're hoping to see something in the range of a reliable 600HP and still be genuinely enjoyable to drive/park/reverse with a manual trans. It won't be a racecar, the plan is to drive the wheels off it.

EDIT: Added hp/tq graph made from above numbers.

Thank you guys for the kind words...I still love doing mild builds especially when everyone seems to be on the MAX HP band wagon these days.

Looks like a great build! I have a similar cam and NZ EQ heads on a stoke stroke build. Gives me an idea for when it’s time to freshen up the bottom end.

Do you think a 110LSA, 106 ICL would have made a big change in this build?

I would guess a little more at the peaks and the power curve would fall off sooner in the upper range.

I highly doubt 2 degrees gonna make a big change, probably a slight gain in overall torque.

@FrostyMopar, what sort of blower are you planning for this build?

Edit: just saw that it's gonna be a "small blower" in the IMM you tube post.

Pic seen at a local show, in a 33/34 Dodge sedan. Nice packaging.
