l Unbolting the motor mounts and jacking the motor up will give you more room to work.

in this case, i see no issues with a header being in the way...now if it were a V8...

I did this in July with the engine in place with factory manifolds. You must jack the engine up and it's still tight. First time didn't go well as the rubber end seals didn't seat correctly. Second time I got everything ready and had my gearhead son over to help out. Much easier with 4 hands as that pan is lonnng So far so good.
