I am doing some looking around for a friend of mine; he busted the shaft off of his release bearing retainer and needs a new one. It is for a 72 4 speed, with three bolt mounting. So far the only aftermarket ones we have found are four or five bolt. Wish I had pictures, but my outdated phone doesn't have the required technology. Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help!

You mean the front bearing retainer that the TO bearing runs back and forth on?
Or the stud that the fork pivots on?

As there are different sizes (Base OD @ mounting flange) measuring yours and sharing that info would help others insure that you get the right part the first time.

Check Craigslist
Guy in Ohio selling them
All makes.
I got one just to have a spare
$25 plus $13 shipping.
I think he was around Akron.

:burnout:

Front bearing retainers for 833's all have four bolts...Post some pics of what you're working on...

Ok, so actual bearing retainer then :D

The three bolt statement made me question it.
