OKAY Guys I need some Help as to weather I should buy this engine It's a 1990 /6 industrial engine it has been rebuilt and this man wants $500 for it . The engine I have in MY duster right now is out of a 1978 VOLARE .I know I will most likely have to have to change the oil pan and oil pick up also I'm going to put My manifold with carb. is there else that I need to know or any reason I couldn't use it in My car

The main difference right off the bat is typically the camshaft is ground for a steady dedicated rpm. (What ever the machine that engine was designed for) and the distributor. Carb may be also a factor but being such a low horse power maybe not. It may or may not be drilled for power steering brackets.

This is what I’ve found with marine /6 and also /6 in older material handling items like Lulls and forklifts, and generators.

If it still has the industrial distributor, you will want to replace it with an automotive version with a proper vacuum advance.
