INDY 'modman' 2x4 intake. How much would you spend if...

If INDY were to remake the BB WEDGE MODMAN intake, drastically improving it's performance AND it were available for either standard or MW port and B or RB. Where you could use either AFB's or 4150 Holley's. Would $1500 be fair for an intake that would require no modifications to get significant improvement over your single 4150 combo? I'm open to input as to where there is a market for something like this. (e.g.- MW low-deck would have the biggest market, etc)

I think 1500 would be fair. That said.....and I'm being serious, not a smartass......what do YOU have to do with Indy? Will input from members here have a real impact? I've read that the new owners are some really nice people. Even though "I" would likely never be able to afford anything, I think it would be a huge plus for those who could, as Mopar seems to always be the one every leaves behind in terms of performance parts.

pro6 There are a couple tweaks I'd want to do with the spacer/top/lid. But overall I think this is a significant improvement for this intake and the cost isn't bad especially if you want the cheap AFB's. This has already SHOWN almost 800HP in the car.

If you look at he evolution of the protyping I decided to straighten the trajectory of the runners which required cutting back the runners at the bend and adding material to the orig design runner extensions...

I'm just a guy that has their ear on this currently. I did this as a 'fun' concept on a motor I did for a NSS car. This was and still is being used on a 486CID low deck engine. I did so much rework on this I branded it the "SEANMAN".

Very cool. Thanks for this! I hope they listen. I think it was @PROSTOCKTOM that was JUST asking about such a piece for the standard port heads.

I need to edit this post of mine and say "if I had the money I would definitely buy one how you designed it" but I can't afford big ticket items like $1500.00 so that awesome intake would be sold out before I could get one.
That's why I have to modify my own stuff but I will say to you Sean, you are a very smart and talented hot rodder.
The stuff you do gives me ideas & I thank you for that.

I am toying with the idea of a Modman for a new gen Hemi build, the biggest deterrent is the cost. These used to sell for $599 plus the top, it is now $1089 for the base and top. Factor in the dollar conversion currently and it quickly becomes a $1700 manifold.

This is nearly exactly what I was discussing with some freinds.
The OEM ModMan runners are too short IMO. While a short runner has its place….. these are very short.

That is some really nice work. Seriously, very nice. I love the direction.

To answer your question, yes I think $1500 is pricey. It’s out of my range of willingness to spend on for my applications. A very serious “For the Money” racer may drop that amount quick, not I.

I know the recent inflation disaster is giving the dollar a trouncing causing these higher prices and it is REALLY hard to ask someone to take less money that they should be getting for their product and more so there time and efforts in developing efforts. It’s just simply being honest that IMO, $1500 is a bit much.

Thanks! The fit and finish internally isn't as perfect as I would normally do but it was getting to be $ time-consuming$ and I wasn't being paid for it. I do feel it proved itself however. Just like anything else, the second one would take much less time and be nicer.

I'm not familiar with the hemi MM but one person has reported it not being so bad. Take that for what it is.

I really like what you're doing with that manifold. I also rolled the idea in my mind that the manifold could be improved on and end up being a nice piece. But I no way have your fabricating skill but you got my attention!
