I was going to replace the tire on my spare in my 69 Dart 340 4 speed and it has an innertube in it. Is this normal and can I put a tubeless tire on it?

So you want to remove the existing tire and tube from the rim and mount a tubeless tire in it's place? All you need is a valve stem and go ahead and mount that tire.

The inner tube might have been installed because the wheel will not seal well to the tire.

You will know in a year.

If that wheel won't seal, you'll know once it's inflated and the telltale signs of soap
Not always.

I have a spare that over a year or 2 loose most of its air, but put it in soap and you don't see anything.

I have other tires that have held air for 5+ years
