I just got a set of hooker headers for my 67 Valiant Slant 6. I was looking at installing them some time this week but I noticed the stock intake manifold flange is a little thicker then the header flange. Will this make it difficult to get the gasket to seal up tight since the two flanges are differnt thicknesses?

When I put headers on my \6 the difference was about 1/4". I got a piece of 1/4" square stock at the local hardware store and made spacers. Never had a leak problem.

the hookers come with little moon washers that are roughly 1/4" thick...

the only thing you need to change are the cooler lines and go to a floor shift as it wont clear column shift...

Well changing to a floor shift is not something I wanted to do at the moment so I guess I will be waiting before I install them

Just like 805moparkid said use the moon washers and make some cooler lines . As for the column shift I had no problem.I Used a Bouchillon kickdown cable

good to know... i thought the directions said you had to change so i did... but it may have been the kickdown... Manual VB takes care of that lol
