Installing one piece rubber strut rod bushing

Hi, trying to install the rubber one piece strut rod bushing into the k member, someone said to put it in the freezer and maybe it would shrink?

Absolutely dont try the freezer thing. No1, it wont shrink, and No2, it will get way too hard. If your gonna mess with temp, heat would be more beneficial. As to lube; the best rubber lube I have found is the RoadRanger O-ring lubricant. The absolute slipperiest stuff around. And inert as well; will not affect any rubber part or paint.But the real answer is as above"throw it away". Get a Moog 2-piece.

the 2 piece design is o.k. but may have been an assembly line thing.
the one piece units are fine and will probably last 30 + years
