What do people do for shifting? Hydraulic clutch shift or is mechanical possible?

I think most of the oem 6 speeds are the t-56 or t-56 magnum if i am not mistaken.

someone is selling one and a 5.7 hemi attached to it. for fairly cheap

I would call Tremec since they make those... They can tell you all about what they can sell you to mate it to a LA.
