Look kind of funny to me. The bottom lip zig zaging like that and how do they mount? Look interesting and they are shiny.
 
I'm also a member of the Poly forum and according to the poly guru (Gary Pavlovich), these valve covers are pretty rare. $400 - $450 is the going price (when he has them) and they might not be as nice as what this guy is advertising. The seller's reserve price may also reflect the cost of polishing. See the 2 holes on top of the valve cover? That's where the mounting bolts go. The P600 intake (3 duece) the seller mention is also a pretty rare manifold, especially the Rochester (4 bolt) version. The Stromberg (3 bolt carb) model is not quite as rare. They routinely fetch $600 without carbs when they do pop up!
 
Thanks for the info. I never had a poly so the looked funnt to me. Seeing how pricy some of the stuff is I better understand why people opt to change to a newer style engine.
