Well some of you know I did my ABS headliner this weekend and it turned out great. I also re covered my seats and put down new carpet.
Two tips! When recovering buckets if the seat foam looks like it should be replaced.....DO IT...LOL
And with the carpet, I bought the MASS backed this time and will never do that again, what a pain in ***.
It is very hard to work with because of the ridgid MASS backing and when the seats go in if the carpet is not sitting just right it curls at the egdes.
My .02 with this stuff if you choose to get it, install carpet but don't trim anything untill the seats are in, after that then do your final trimming. I learned the hard way today.

what is best way to get the creases out of a headliner before trying to install it???

MASS backing is an extra you can get now. It is a very heavy rubber coating they put on the bottom of the carpet to help get rid of noise, it makes it very hard to form.
As for the ABS headliner it should not have any wrinkles unless the fabric has separsted from the ABS if that happend I would send it back.

Abs is the hardboard headliner ?? I am looking for the info for the soft headliners. I have one for a 70 duster.I have it hanging trying to get it as wrinkle free as I can before installing it.

I'm waiting until it 100 degrees out before I do my carpet, headliner etc...

All the soft trim parts are easier to install if they are hot and flexible.

Careful use of blowdryer to release wrinkles? Worth a try if you don't want to wait til hot weather.....
