Here's a short video from Harold Demes on a tip to seal inverted flares on fuel lines and brake lines. Stainless steel tubing can be tough to get to seal. Harold has videos about overhauling carbs and re plating them for restoration as well.

We used to use these sometimes in refrigeration. They fit either SAE flare or inverted flare
If you can find any copper washers at all (they are getting harder) and anneal them so they are soft, you could use them as well. "Might take a couple of tries"
