is a 78 360 truck motor stll an la motor

is a 76 360 pick up still an la motor ? or a magnuim motor? says it has 107 kb pistons in it could it still be an la with closed chamber heads or is it the wrong motor to put in a dodge dart there any length differance or tranny mounting differance from a la 1968 dodge dart with a 727 automatic to put indy la heads on

1976 is an LA engine.You,ll have to get #,s from the heads to see if they,re stock or have been replaced with X or J heads.

Magnums came along in 1992. Anything before that would be an LA. The only difference in the truck motors was the oil pan and pickup.

76 is still a LA motor....just like any other 360.....No LA 360 heads are close chambers only the 318/273 had close chamber heads.....

will fit dart ...just need center oil pans sump that fits cars...pickup use rear sumps..

plus you need the proper motor mounts..same trans bolt pattern since it is a LA engine
