Why is it whenever I tell someone what kind of car I'm building they say "A What?" like the name wasn't used up till the mid 80's on that little pick-up truck thing too. Oh well just figured I'd rant a bit.

Nope, not a bastard at all. I'm sure if you told these people you had a Plymouth Dart Swinger, they would all nod like you know what you are talking about. We Mopar enthusiasts are the minority, and not every brand X person should be expected to know about every model and trim line in all makes. I certainly don't. This is your opportunity to teach them a little bit about Mopar. We all had to learn at some point.

I think the Scamp is actually a pretty nice piece, I'm not a big fan of the Duster or Dart, but put them together and it's the best of both cars, at least to me anyway!!! Geof

Three of the most gorgeous women I ever met were raging redheads with freckles.

I met one very attractive young lady a few years ago at Radio Shack. She was ringing stuff up, I looked and her, and said, "MAN, you're a REAL readhead, aren't 'cha?"

"YES I AM!!" she said, grinning.

The two dweebs working there had no clue. none.

I'd surely would do something like that but it would be a either a 68-69 dart convertible and it'd bolt the Duster/Scamp front end on it with a Sharktooth grill, 71 Cuda gills, and a shaker hood! It'd also be mini tub to flush the wheel wells to the frame, subframe connectors, 4 wheel disc brakes with a street lynx rearend on an 8 3/4. Motor and tranny would be up in the air but it'd have an auto tranny because I'm not about to work for it with the top down!

Most redheads I've come across tend to lack in the body/curve department. That being said I once worked with this girl has red hair and I'll never forget her name because it was J. Ferrari! Ferrari's signature color is red and the first day I met her I told her why I'd always remember her for that reason. She state to me (after I told her that) "that's the first time someone has ever said that to me.
Most people have a hard time remembering my name, I'll use that from now on!"

So by curvy you mean like bigger? I always get that confused, and my ex GF was little bigger.

I like redheads, there fiesty:love7:
Agreed. Man those redheads are something :glasses7:

You know, I've never understood the redheaded stepchild reference, because (myself included) it seems every guy loves redheads :D

Oh and on the topic of the car too.. I've got a '74 Scamp and an '83 Scamp GT (the little truck. Only 1,200 were ever made and it was in 1983 only)

Look up the lady named Jayden James, Vida Guerra, etc... That's the body I gotta have, anything less or more just ain't on my radar  (though I have been with skinny girls just seem to be missing something to me, nothing wrong with them if that's your style).

Jayden James, Vida Guerra those will do, but nothing beats a good redhead on a body like that:love5::love4:

Ah, i see what you mean. I like curvy girls more than skinny ones.

red-headed stepchild= that kid ain't yours, somebody been cheating. and a red head, dated 2 back in the day; too fiesty to live with.

johnparts, Based on the responses, I think your observation is proven to be correct! LOL

I have a '75 Scamp, I know what you're saying. Probably it's because there never was a performance based Scamp like there was with the Dart and Duster (Dart GSS, GTS, 340 Swinger. Duster 340, etc.)

heres one for you, to bad shes wearin that greenbay packers crap....LOL!

I get the same thing when I talk to people about what im building. I either tell them its a Plymouth Valiant or Dodge Dart. Sometimes in conversation trying to tell them its a Scamp they just don't get it.

1 that's not a real redhead.

2 redheads are kinda funny- either they're dogs, or they're GORGEOUS!!

3 my wife is an "unconventional" redhead. more of an auburn- but HAWT (and skinny but curvy [35-20-35] 105#) for a 46 yr old!!

4 fiesty can be good if she's also smart, and if you can handle it.

5 notchback Duster?

6 Mopar in general is the redheaded stepchild, you should be used to it.

There is a guy here buy me that comes in to my work. Saw my Dart on day and told me he had a Valiant. Then one day he came in to the store with a 71 Scamp. I said nice Scamp. He said no it is a Valiant. LOL In a way we were both right though.
