Got any sisters or cousins in their twenties? :D (pssst, please don't kill me or ban me as a future customer for asking)

LOL @ all of you! Sorry 74Dusted, just my brother. He never liked to get dirty and dad ran stock cars ... that's how I ended up me. :-D

No worries on a temper. I inherited a lot of things with the Irish blood but that wasn't one of 'em.

I had seen my Scamp in town several times (I actually went out with the sister of the girl I bought it from) and when it came up for sale I was all over it.
But I got close to it, and saw the front end and thought "Plymouth??!!!???"

I'd never even heard of a Scamp- just always thought it was a Dart when I saw it around.
That's why I never got overly upset at people for calling it a Swinger (unless they argued that I shouldn't have a Plymoouth plate on the front of it lol).

If they ask, just tell them it's the mean version of the dart. You just gotta have a Sharktooth grill in it.

I always liked the scamps...and redheads. Miss my Scamp

Alot of people don't know the difference. I went to look @ a 71 Dart 3 years ago. When i got there i saw it had the duster nose on it, looked @ the VIN and sure enough it was a Scamp. Had the plymouth badges on it too, but missing the scamp emblems. Guy who owned the thing had never even heard of a scamp. B5 blue white vinal 318 904 w 8 3/4 car w like new blue interior. Been in a garage since the 80s. Needed some floor & trunk work as well as a windshield. I let my father buy it because he was there w me and wanted it. He just sold it today for $1500. Damn, he didn't even tell me he wanted to sell it. I would have bought it for 1500. I think they are cool little cars.

:smilebox:::wow packers chick LOL...I think i drooled on the keys alittle

Putting a serious face on this. I would say that Scamps are indeed misunderstood and somewhat unknown outside of the Mopar world. It took me months to sell off a 72 Scamp that was pretty nice in a lot of ways. If it would have been a Duster I suspect it would have sold much sooner for more $.

That being said, I like Scamps but prefer Dusters.

Yes, The Scamp IS a redheaded stepchild....But I personally think that makes it unique and COOL in a world of swingers and darts and dusters (OH MY!)
Some people even PREFER them 'cause they are different.Ain't that why we have MOPARS anyway???

Here is a really old pic of the one I own now. They do look tough with the '71/2 340 Duster grille in them. I'm looking for another one as this one got damaged. I like Scamps because they are not that common.
