Is this hose connnected wrongly?

guys, having serious overheating issues. Before I go any further, is the heater hose connected wrongly here on my new air Gap manifold?

I ask, as with the previous manifold the hose connected to the left of the top hose to inlet connection.

Tim on both of my cars looking at the firewall from the front of the car the left hose goes to the manifold

Dosn't make any difference,especially to an overheating problem.

Tim, what thermostat are you running and how is the car running otherwise?

Long story. but the top end was rebuilt less than 1,000 miles back with air gap manifold and 268 cam. The whole motor was built 12,000 miles back.

Currently i have fluctuating oil pressure (see in engines thread) and the car is getting hot and spewing water out of the overflow tank. I suspect head gaskets but wil try flushing the sytem, fitting 180 stat and see if its still overheating.
strange really, ran the car at the drags last week, 500 mile round trip. The problem only showed when i stopped for fuel and when i checked under the hood on arriving home. Not a drp when queuing to race in 90 degrees heat.
It bugging me know though!
