Whew! How many more coats of paint on the inner fenders till that didn't squeak in there? Bet it goes like a scalded cat. :D

Good job stabbing it.
I wonder if Pete the killer will comment for some more irony lolololololololol

I wish I had a duster or demon, so much cooler than (no offense) my 70 swinger

There's no easier way to a faster car than to disconnect the brakes. I see that you've removed the master cylinder entirely, so between that and the big block, your car should be far too fast for anyone to drive enjoyably. Good job!

You might have fun putting the heater back in. Would have been easier with the engine out.

My heater box will be the mancini block off plate, no worries ;)

Master cylinder will be that right stuff kit, the one that has that weird extension (I am not explaining it right)

Alot of people on here had mentioned about weight, how it will handle, did I change torsion bars etc....

From what I can tell, the torsion bars are fairly new. By that I mean they were new when the car last moved 15-20 years ago. I had seen a picture of it when it still had the 340 (the previous owner has my numbers matching engine, but is holding it hostage lol) and it sat a little high in front, I guess he liked it that way?

Anyway, I took alot of advice on and did alumnium water pump housing as well as all of the other usual suspects like aluminum heads and intake.

How much heavier is this combo compared to an all cast iron 340? It really cannot be that much heavier, it is still shocking to me how much that cast stuff weighs

I removed and installed the 440 in my ‘69 ‘cuda several times with the transmission attached. The only things that I removed were the fan, radiator and the two front bolts on the hood hinges. The hood wasn’t even removed. One thing to note was that it had manual brakes so I don’t know if you can do it if you have power brakes.
