I had hoped to get more done but ran out of time. One rear brakes is done. I'll get on it earlier tomorrow and hopefully get the other rear brake done along with the front and all the rubber lines. and those used snap on line wrenches i bought a while back work incredible. the craftsman never seemed to fit like these do.. you can just see the drums through the wheel slots. wonder if i should have painted them red?

Nice thick liners, I think the black drum looks classier.

got the other three brakes done today. everything is buttoned up.. just need to put fluid in and bleed them and hope for no leaks..:)

boy was all this stuff dirty and rusty.. took a lot of extra time cleaning it all up to driver condition.. once its on the road and driving and i decide if like it or not i'll probably rebuild the front suspension but i don't want to do that just yet..

the right rear..:)

hit the fender with some polishing compound just to see how it would come up. should look good. when ever i get to it i'll use one of those clay bar rag things then rubbing compound then polish then wax. should come up nice but still have the natural patina in places. be a lot better then that faded pink color..:)

This shows me how you can make single stage urethane shine that has some age on it!!!
I just spent DAYS trying to sand off old clear coat off a car I bought. It was not fun! Some was already peeled off, some sanded off decent and some I am still trying to either get off or feather the edges.
I will keep doing single stage urethane as long as I can by it or till I kick the bucket! They can have their super shiny bc/cc.

put brake fluid in and gravity bled the brakes today. everything so far looks ok.. next up i have some under hood **** to do and i have to get the sender out of the tank and get the tank back in so i can run it on more then one gallon of gas..

Abodyjoe missed the single biggest trick to making those trucks faster than anybody ever cared to drive.

He hooked the brakes back up.

baby steps today. put lug nuts and locks on the truck and all new lighting. damn old headlights were all beat to hell. looking like it had a black eye. i have no tail lights even with all new bulbs. when i get time i'll look into why they are dead. has to be something stupid.

my spare H-Pipe showed up today. this will go right on the truck once i get the original off. my original one is rotted in one place. i'll fix it once off and put it o the shelf as a spare. found this one on facebook for $130 shipped. new they are over $300 plus shipping.. can't hurt to have an extra i figure..

Incredibly lucky. You were in the right place at the right time. Did they produce for anything else besides yours and the Warlock?

Looks like a specialty exhaust component to dual stacks. Did them for the lil red wagon and the warlock, but I didn't know if they produced for any other models.

oh ok.. only the lil red.. warlock never had factory stacks. think a warlock only had single exhaust bit not 100% sure.

so a few weeks ago i saw that vans auto was having the sport mirrors for these trucks reproduced. i have one NOS base and two NOS mirror heads here but the other base if hard and expensive to find. plus i really don't want to use the NOS stuff on a driver truck.. i'll keep them on the shelf in case i (or a next owner) wants to actually restore the truck..

figured i'd better order them before i can't get them anymore.. looks like they are also doing chrome ones for a 60's D100 ..

so they came today. very happy with how they look. the bases i don't see any difference sitting next to a NOS base i took from the original mopar box other then part numbers. maybe someone can spot a difference.. the mirror head you can see a difference. the repop has crisper lines to me.. the repop in the pics is the brighter one. the other is a NOS that is on the dirty side.. can easily see the difference but i actually like the crisper lines in the repop..

:) repop base is on the left and i'm pointing to it in the one picture

they seem to have good feed back on the truck sites. the truck tank isn't shaped as weird as a car tank.
