Jacking up a 72 Duster (safely)

Hi Folks,

I need to get the front end of my 72 Duster up on jack stands to perform some work. Can I safely raise both front wheels by centrally placing my floorjack under the K Frame without doing any damage (to me or the car)? I plan on placing the jackstands on the frame rails behind the front wheels. Thanks for the input...as always.

Place the stands at the frame rails, chock the rear wheels to prevent the car from rolling forward or backwards. If the tires are coming off, place tires under chassis. Just in case of jack failure.

I do it all the time that way, never had any issues..............so far !
