Mine is an all steel case. Love the OD, 3.73s in the back and run 2100 rpms at 70 mph. That sounds like what I am leaning towards. I think my OD has a aluminium tail shaft, wonder what difference that would be. As for the coating on your headers, I think it would great if you could get a decorating on there dime but doing a search, I ran across the Corvette site that had quite a write up. I just went searched the name and i looks like Jegs or Summit. Maybe just a well stocked auto supply store.Tail shaft should be ok, main case is the weak part. Just don’t speed shift into od, it’s the weakest gear. Need to look for some cermaglow
Call Jet Hot Coatings. I had the same problem. After about 10 years (or so) my Jet Hot Coating started to look pretty bad. I called them up and told them I had no proof of purchase. They said that they scribe a number on each part and told ne where to look. Once I gave them the number, they said, "Yes, that is ours. Send them in to us and we will redo them for you at no cost." WOW, what service. All it cost me was shipping one way; they paid for the return trip.
