Jon a I both got to Semifinal in Stock at Bakerfield Divisional with
a possible chance to meet in a Heads Up 340 Demon E/SA
final!

Jon raced our friends the Calvert Family (you may run some of their suspension
parts) FS/A New Cobra Jet Mustang. It is a 160 MPH Stocker to our
120 MPH Demon. It is one the very fastest Stockers in the country and
Jon misjudged how fast he was closing and got on the brakes and inadvertently
let him take the stripe!

I ended up on the wrong end of a double breakout with my friend Jody
George. I screwed up and took a .02 stripe = Generally I can cut it well under
a Hundred which is what you need to do in Stock. The round before I took
a .005 and the round before a .003. I got a little shaken because in Superstock
I raced Don Keen (Former World Champion) and broke out .002 on a race I had
a .02 window that I could easily get into. However, you never know until you
look at the time slip.

It was over 100 and quite humid in Bakersfield. I ate like a horse and still
lost 5 pounds at the race. We brought 4 cars and never stopped working on
them all day.

My vision a week after surgery is still changing and still not what I hoped for =
20/30 Barely. I cannot get glasses until it stabilizes in perhaps another week.
My Grandkids do not recognize me without my glasses and my son says "You
look like Hell without them".

Still a fantastic trip with my son and his Father-in-law.

I can do ALL THINGS through Jesus who gives me Strength!

That's awesome! How are you coming along after your eye surgery? Are you gonna race again?

I am racing / I had not finish post.

Thanks for asking!

MY laptop goes down every few minutes, so I post
a paragraph at a time.

Heck yeah! I am glad you're doing well enough to be racing still! I know how much you enjoy it and to be doing it with your son on top of that. I can only wish!

I often rent a stocker for the last race of the year
in Vegas for someone chasing points. The cost is
$750 plus fuel for the stocker that got to the final four at Winternationals 2024
(Me Driving) this current year .
That includes a private AC Trailer at the track.
Two years ago, Gregg Luneauk won in Vegas in one of my borrowed
cars!
But the people must be a good fit with us.

These cars are neither cheap to build or maintain.

Congratulations John! Wish I could watch you guys battle it out. Pm me when you guys are coming up to St George again for your 727 and 8 3/4..lol.
