Jumper cables? Nah....there is a newer better solution.

Yeah, I must admit, even with the fiasco the EV car movement has turned out to be, battery technology has come a long way.

Everything has its uses, technology improves and everything moves on. I've been VERY impressed with the NOCO jump boxes. And you can use them like a big accessory battery too, so like for power outages and things you can use them to charge you phone, flashlights, etc too.

It was at 76% when I opened the box, within 2 minutes...

I stepped away for about 5 minutes and it was at 100%. I'll test it soon and report back.

I have a Noco GB150 that I got a few years ago on cyber Monday deal. Just used it last week to start my E150 van and use it regularly to power my Viair 12vdc compressor to top off the fleet. Prior to this, I had an Antigravity jump box that worked but the plug in jumper cables were kinda cheesy. The Noco GB150 jumper cables are hard wired to the box, no cheesy plug.

That's very similar to the one I have. It works great! Don't expect it to turnover an engine with a completely dead battery. It's perfect if the battery just needs a little extra juice though. Mine's saved my *** a couple times - though I still carry jumper cables. I top off the charge every time I do an oil change as an easy way to remember.

I wanted something to take along on road trips and to boost a car here in the backyard that is not dead but just below the point of cranking over. I was surprised years ago when I saw this chart:

Until I read this, I was under the impression that battery voltage and percentage was linear......like 6 volts meant it had 50% charge. Learning that is is at 50% at 12.06 really surprised me.
