There are many...MANY.. who dont NEED help...but they take advantage of it anyways..likely cause their vision of poor or frugal differs from others. Pay cut vs job loss for instance..lol
Yes things have gone up in price with years.
This hobby isn't for everyone. As much as we all like to share and see the world/next generation embrace it...if they did...you wouldn't find **** for sale anymore...or cheap. Everything would be bought up..the prices would skyrocket even more. More potential cars would be wrecked. Relatively speaking...this has never been cheap in general. Deals? Sometimes, yes. Most of us have a stumbled upon a great deal or 3. Can mopars be cheaper than others? sometimes..depends on your knowledge...but they're not a chevy..... mopar stuff isnt cheap, It's always been expensive with some exceptions 'like mentioned' for those who just want **** gone..and almost give it away. Now i complain that prices have gone up..but we are talking about businesses who sell @scrap prices if it doesn't sell....so the high *** prices will cause more to be scrapped and a lesser chance of them even making the money...but that holds hands with the reason being the push toward electric cars... AND everyone and their kids are trying to get into them as if it's their birthright! I've watched them go up for years. More and more youngsters get into this hobby...and I respect the ones that pick up a book and sort through junk yards... that's earning it. No one's giving them a booster seat.... but pay attention to almost every son or daughter who have taken over a business in this market and what do you find? Arrogant entitled gougers who want top dollar 'their top dollar' for everything they have. A mopar yard that's been around for 30-40 yrs is an example ... look at the cars... the condition...and they want how much? There is a fine line... again not everyon can be in this, that makes it a privilege...but yet you cant charge so much that a car just rots when no one believes its condition is worth their price. How bad do folks want the cars back on the road..and how bad do they just want to say they have one in the yard or get rich...like it's the last one on earth...
Points..
1.wrecking yards are a rip off when the parts will all all be recycled as scrap for WAY less a ton.. than if they kept the prices fair and moved the parts... that's also conserving cars 'dont need a new one if you maintain the one you have'
2.Not everyone can be envolved in this hobby, outside of that $1500 runner fixer upper...most folks 'especially kids who make about zero money, and in this economy enter start saving for a house or college' ..they cant really buy and collect the parts for a restoration or project, nor facilitate it-unless mom n dad do.
Deep down... no one really respects a kid who's mom n dad buy him a hot rod and made them a clone of themselves.
I dont know of many kids spoon fed ..and I mean how many people are in America? So even if 30 screen names came on here and said they bought their kid the car and do most of the work...that's a drop in a bucket. Pay your dues and earn it. Itll be funny when the some of these kids drive these cars for a bit...then decide they don't want them and want a newer car..lmao
No one has to agree.idc.
