just got my 70 Duster back from paint, what do you think??

Nice color choice and great looking car. Is there pearl in the paint?
Just curious, what's the rough definition of 'spent a ton' in Indiana? I know what I've been quoted here in SoCal for a good 2-stage paint job on my '69 Dart. Not for the faint of heart.

the paint is actually just paint code V2 Hemi Orange (or for Plymouth: Tor Red). That code actually has gold metallic in it which really makes the orange pop in the sunlight. I have about $5000. in the body and paint (and the car was pretty solid when I got it, including new quarters already on it). Hood and wing are from MAB, stripe kit from Pheonix Graphics. Shaved the gas cap and antenna.

The paint looks great and if I might say, you got a BARGAIN in terms of the cost! BTW are the bumpers fiberglass? It's all about personal preferences, but I know of a 1972 Duster same color as yours --- beautiful 440 conversion too that looks great with the chrome bumpers.

You did great with that body and paint combo and the price was right!

Great looking ride sinister blue.

Does this mean you need to change your user name to sinister orange?

I think you did all right for paint and body for $5-k.

Around here you will pay $10-k for a job like that.

Nice color combo and wheel choice.
I like it alot for some reason, don't know why ,he, he.

Got any pics of the engine compt?

$5K is great price based on SoCal paint jobs. First quote I got for my '69 Dart from a well-known SoCal painter was $14K. Only reply I had was, 'Thanks for your time' - waaaaay beyond my meager budget.

no under hood shots yet. I am planning on pulling the motor next month to have the underhood area color matched to the car, while doing a few mods to the 440. It is already built up but interested in a few extras! I am waiting till the Mopar Nats in Columbus next month, hoping to find some good deals.

Beautiful, but not very "blue"???

Hey Cudaspaz ! I like the stripes on your Cuda especially the curve in it. Any side shots? I have a Duster that needs stripes and I like the AAR look. The stripes on the orange Duster and your Cuda look professional. Are your stripes tape or painted? Nice cars!!

the painted bumpers are steel not fiberglass. thanks again guys for all the great compliments. ...and by the way, no name change, I will always be sinister blue!
