68 fish, 416, TTI headers. used a Jegs generic 3" X-pipe and a set of 3" flowmaster 40s. Mufflers to the rear like the TTI X pipe system. Dump on the inside of the rear tires. Sounds pretty good.

The car did not lose any speed on top and the ET was actually a tad quicker. Was not able to weigh the car to see how much was added.

Which TTI's did you use, the 1-7/8" or 1-5/8" primaries?

New heraders came with the engine. I would have to measure the tubes. The tubes are pretty big and the collector is 3". I had the muffler guy make sure that there was room to put in another muffler if needed which I may use to put a pair of 3" x 4" dia x 12" long Dynomax "cherrybombs" between the X-pipes and the flowmasters to further dampen out the pulses.

Thanks Mark. You weren't an ***, just wearing a tee shirt about being a smart one. Gotta suck to drag all the folks to the track and only get to get as far as the staging lanes. Woulda sucked worse though if you lined up against the SKIPN8R like Casey did but at least then we may have gotten a movie.

Turned the car into the body guy's homeshop. We'll see if he does like I said and incrementallly does the work fixing the quarters so I can still go to the track. It's a rat rod now anyways so what's a little primer. I need to know more about the tranny and the RPMs before I pull the engine/tranny for paint. That motor seems to have developed a leak or two sitting for 3 years after being built and dyno'd. Maybe the rear main seal aged. Car marks it territory now a little bit.

you liked the shirt didnt you lol. I wish I could have gotten out run. But now that you are that fast. My cuz thinks he has the fastest car ever. So next year Im gona get him out there and show him video of us racing and then let you run him now!

The car had some resonance "bite" at certain RPMs so I had 3" x 8" cherrybombs added right before the flowmaster 40s. The bombs act like resonators and take some of the raspy sound out before the flows get to it. Now the car has 3 distinct sounds. At the point where the engine is just maintaining a cruise you can hear the rear end whining. Below that and you get the rumble from decelleration, the more RPM you start from the more rumble. When the car is being accellerated the flows take over and there is a higher pitched sound.

I really like it. The guys at the local pool bar said it sounded like about 4 harleys coming in as I was doing the decelleration rumble going down through the gears like a manual valve body. Sounds about right as I have 8 cyls and 4 harleys would too. Drove by a couple sherrifs that were sitting in a parking lot and had the throttle set to "rear end whine" and they stayed put. Works for me.
