I just purchased a 66 Barracuda with a 318, The previous owner couldnt get the exhaust manifolds to fit with the large 318... power steering clearance issues. Are there headers out there that will work for me, or do I need to switch out to manual steering?

Also, I have a 360 crate motor lying around, how easy would it be to drop that in?

Thanks!

Is it a poly 318? If not it'll fit the same as a 273. The poly will also fit similarly but the exhaust manifolds are different.

Not sure what I have yet, paid the deposit on the car today, picking it up next week. Here is a picture of the engine.

tti just released early a body small block headers that are real nice. Your crater 360 will go in with the schumacher mounts and the tti headers. A 904 trans is easier in the tunnel than a 727.

Here she is! All original, except for the 318!

Very nice. Good looking car. You have a LA engine, not the earlier A engine.

Definitely an LA engine. Exhaust will not be a problem. You need the 273 manifolds.

Look on ebay for a drivers side 273 exhaust manifold.1964,65,66.

The steering shaft is in the way, and you will need to either
pull the steering column,or the engine to get the drivers manifold on.

If I recall correct.from my own car.
