I'm pretty sure Coors Light isn't beer anyway...
I have to agree..funny thing is, I like Coors original "The banquet beer" LOL!I'm pretty sure Coors Light isn't beer anyway...
As a non-vet, if it were up to me Vet's would all be treated as heroes, respected & known. As a veteran I’ve asked for discounts frequently especially if they advertise it. The service ID card , which you only get to keep if you retired at 20 or more years is mostly the one they accept. I couldn’t figure out why this area has many places advertising for veterans discount. The Villages which is a huge sr retirement community near me ,it is largely retired vets. It pisses me off that guys who retire vs those of us who didn’t technically retire ,
But served anyway, would get discounts. WTF
Home depot didnt want to give me a veterans discount , we went to lowes . QUALITY HAS ALWAYS BEEN BETTER AT LOWES FOR ME ANYWAY .
I think they figure how much beer can an old fella drink...?
I can still put em down but not crappy beer or light beer
Lots of Caps there and point taken!
BTW, what is up with seniors getting carded all the time??? I am 70, and I have to show ID to buy beer at my local grocery store, and a lot of restaurants ask for ID too. I totally understand that places have to be careful because the police find 19 year olds who look like they are 35 to trap stores and restaurants, but I look 70. It's stupid. And what is more stupid is that if I question it, I always get told that it is the state law; which it is not. If a server at a restaurant asks for ID, I just change to a coke.Got a haircut today and went to the liquor store for beer.
New guy carded me and then said, you are a senior, put the code in and $2.60 off my 15 pack of wide mouth Coors Light.
I wanted to say you owe me 1k for all the beer I have bought here since turning 55!
I never ask or push, but 2.60 off 18 is pretty good!
Do you ever ask for a senior discount?
The grocery store that i do my shopping at, doesn't ask for my ID, but they ask you for your birthday. (I'm 68)BTW, what is up with seniors getting carded all the time??? You'll know you're into it when you find yourself buying a "Kegerator", no you don't really save money but you always have beer around, when that keg kicks its like "awwww...." air deflating a balloonA lot. (4) 15 packs a week! I love beer!
I'm in Pa. They ask for my license at the supermarket every time and scan the bar code. Sometimes I'm not in the mood and go to the beer distributor across the street they just take my money no Id asked forThe grocery store that i do my shopping at, doesn't ask for my ID, but they ask you for your birthday. When i got questioned the first time, i was kinda pissed about it, asking a guy that is obviously an old man, buying a 6 pack of beer.
Was told, like it or lump it, as it's become corporate policy in asking everybody who buys, beer, wine, liquor.
The new thing here in Commiefornia, too.
I was an old school cheap beer drinker my whole life until a few years ago started on craft brews. I used to drink ungodly amounts of cheap beer. No need with the craft beer. I can't drink more than 2 cans of cheap beer now. Makes me gak! Hahaha.I am on a craft brew kick. It isn't uncommon for me to pay $5-7 a pint at a pub, or $21.00 a twelve pack.
C'mon, what about Miller high life. The champagne of beer. BwahahahaI have to agree..funny thing is, I like Coors original "The banquet beer" LOL!
I grew up on Budweiser(cheap) then Yuengling lager, at around 1999 I was into Heineken, then Sam adams Boston lager in the 2000s was the first "craft" type beer for me. Now there are so many local breweries around that are just great. I am in Pa and a few local favorites are Sly Fox brewery and Yards in Philly. I usually pick up "variety pack" 12 packs cant go wrong with any of them. I still have Bud in my garage fridge, and I have friends who still drink it, but I only have a Bud "once in a while" LOL!I was an old school cheap beer drinker my whole life until a few years ago started on craft brews. Pretty much the same for me. I'm in pa too and put down quite a bit of "lager" too.I grew up on Budweiser(cheap) then Yuengling lager, at around 1999 I was into Heineken, then Sam adams Boston lager in the 2000s was the first "craft" type beer for me. Yes, but I don't think it tastes the same as it did. Somewhere in my memorabilia from back in the day I have a rolling rock "drinking glove".Any of you PA guys drink Rolling Rock?
I'm from PA and still drink Rolling Rock and Yuengling. Thankfully I can get it even though I live in Georgia.
Rolling Rock seems to taste the same even after they moved brewing out of PA.
I have drank Rolling Rock... It seems light to me, or more specifically pale. It is a pale ale right? I do like it ice cold on a hot day...
